YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIGURE THIS OUT ALONE.
A clearer mobility decision starts with a clearer process.

Choosing adaptive mobility can feel complicated. The process doesn’t have to.
Families often come to xROVER USA with questions rather than answers.
Which size do we need?
Will there be enough room for growth?
What positioning support is appropriate?
My child can walk — does adaptive mobility still make sense?
Should we involve a PT or OT?
Could insurance, Medicaid or a waiver be relevant?
What if we choose the wrong configuration?
Those are reasonable questions.
Adaptive mobility is not something most families purchase every day.
And when the equipment may become part of a child's, teenager's or adult's daily and outdoor life for years, the decision deserves more than a size chart and an Add to Cart button.
THAT'S WHY xROVER USA HAS A PROCESS.
We don't expect families to arrive knowing exactly what they need.
Our role is to help organize the decision.
1. START WITH REAL LIFE
Before discussing configuration, we want to understand the person.
How do they move today?
How far can they comfortably participate?
What happens when they become tired?
Are safety, elopement or sensory regulation concerns part of the picture?
Do they require head, trunk, pelvic or other positioning support?
What equipment do they currently use?
And perhaps most importantly:
What does the family want to be able to do together?
Walking.
Parks.
Trails.
Travel.
Running.
Cycling.
Community activities.
Longer family days.
The equipment only makes sense when we understand the life it is intended to support.
2. DETERMINE THE MOBILITY DIRECTION
Sometimes the information is straightforward.
Other situations require more.
We may request measurements.
We may ask for photographs to better understand seating or positioning.
We may recommend input from a PT, OT, physician or another professional who knows the individual.
And sometimes our recommendation may be:
Not yet.
Or:
We need more information before making a responsible recommendation.
That is part of the process too.

3. RECOMMEND BEFORE WE CONFIGURE
Once we understand the individual and the intended use, we can begin determining the appropriate xROVER direction.
That may include:
-
size;
-
positioning requirements;
-
activity configuration;
-
accessories;
-
room for growth;
-
intended environments;
-
and how xROVER would fit alongside existing mobility equipment.
The objective is not to configure the most equipment.
The objective is to configure the right equipment.
4. UNDERSTAND HOW TO ACCESS IT
For some families, the next step is a private purchase.
For others, it may make sense to explore insurance, Medicaid, waiver programs, grants or other resources.
And for some families, the appropriate answer may involve more than one pathway.
Again, there is no universal answer.
That is why we first understand the individual situation before recommending a funding direction.
5. MOVE FORWARD WITH CLARITY
By the time a family reaches a purchase or funding decision, our goal is for them to understand:
What is being recommended.
Why it is being recommended.
How it relates to their real-life needs.
And what happens next.
Because adaptive mobility should not feel like guessing.

THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT MATTERS.
SO DOES THE PROCESS THAT LEADS TO IT.
At xROVER USA, we believe families deserve both.
You don't need to arrive with all the answers.
You don't need to know the correct size.
You don't need to understand every configuration.
And you don't need to know whether funding is possible before contacting us.
Start by telling us about the person and the life you want to make more accessible.
We'll help you determine the next step.
