It helps Californians with disabilities explore and access assistive technology through device lending and demonstration centers, equipment reuse programs, information and advocacy, and connections to funding and acquisition resources.
California residents may be able to borrow certain assistive technology devices before making a purchase decision, search for available reused equipment, or receive guidance about possible funding pathways.
Ability Tools is one of the most important statewide starting points for California families who are researching assistive technology.
Although the program may not operate as a traditional grant provider, it can help families:
