One of the most common questions families ask us is surprisingly simple:
“Which xROVER size should we choose?”
Sometimes a child fits comfortably within one size today, but the family knows they are still growing. Sometimes an adult passenger falls within the specifications of more than one model. Passenger height and weight are essential when determining the appropriate xROVER size.
But two people with the same height and weight can have very different mobility needs.
Before making a recommendation, we also want to understand questions such as:
Is the passenger still growing?
How much growth should we realistically plan for?
Does the passenger need additional trunk, pelvic, chest or head support?
How much postural control do they have?
Will the xROVER primarily be used for walking and family outings, or also for running, hiking or cycling?
What types of terrain does the family want to explore?
These details help us look beyond whether someone simply “fits.”

It can be tempting to choose the largest possible size so there is plenty of room for the future.
But more room is not always the same as a better fit.
