For Ryder's family, spending time outdoors has always been about being together.
Like many families raising a child with mobility challenges, they wanted Ryder to experience more than sidewalks and paved paths. Their dream was simple—to continue enjoying parks, hiking trails, family walks, camping trips, and all the outdoor adventures that create lifelong memories.
When Ryder's family contacted xROVER USA, one question stood above all the others:
How can we make this possible?
Together, we explored funding opportunities and prepared the documentation needed to support their application.
That journey led them to the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), an incredible organization dedicated to helping individuals with physical disabilities pursue active lifestyles.
We're incredibly grateful to share that Ryder's grant application was approved.
Receiving funding meant much more than purchasing an adaptive outdoor mobility system.
It meant opening the door to new adventures, greater family inclusion, and countless memories that are still waiting to be created.
Ryder's story is a wonderful reminder that families should never assume an adaptive mobility solution is out of reach before exploring the funding opportunities that may be available.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping families discover that an xROVER may be more achievable than they first imagined.
Ryder's story is a perfect example of what can happen when a determined family, the right funding partner, and a shared dream come together.
